Some Beatles discographeers claim that the label version WITHOUT "Her Majesty's" credits came first and is rarer. In fact there are opinions to the contrary. In any case, the  UK Abbey Road LP WITH mis-aligned apple on the back cover and WITH "Her Majesty's" credits on the label has been unearthed by us in twice in 24 months, which proves that the variation combining the misaligned apple on the back-cover AND the "Her Majesty's"credits on the label is a definite fact. We have sold one of these albums to a US collector and have another copy for sale here now...

In addition, we were informed  in April 2006 by Beatles collector Peter Regan that he too owns an ABBEY ROAD LP WITH mis-aligned apple on the back cover and WITH *Her Majesty's credits" on the label. So this is another proof that this variation existed and went on sale in exactly that combination. Beatles discographers please take note of this fact and stop spreading false information to the contrary.

Our copy is from the extremely small lot which were released in SWITZERLAND by Reader's Digest. Therefore, the box as well as each LP cover has a corresponding sticker in the upper left-hand corner, plus the box contains an 8-page booklet released by Reader's Digest Swiwtzerland in 3 languages (German, French and Italian)

Record comes with correct inner sleeve showing 30 record covers incl. "For Sale" SMO 83790 in lower left front corner. Inner is in undamaged condition.

Condition: Front cover looks fantastic. No spine breaks, no bent corners, no tears, no writings, stains, stickers. Practically no edge wear. Even the record opening on the right edge, which is often messy with normal copies of this record, shows only slight wear Backcover displays some ring wear, a few small brown stains. Other than that nothing negative can be said..And again, the golden STEREO sticker, which is missing in most copies, is still in place and undamaged!

Label side 1 has a small writing (initials R.R). Aside from that both labels look perfect. No spindlehole wear.

Vinyl: looks VG and plays VG. Empty grooves have noise, but music plays great. Track "Yeterday" which is always the most difficult one and the ultimate test of vinyl condition on this record has moderate noise. Not a top copy but a very nice record with a cover which is far above the average, sensational in the front and very nice in the back.

I would rate the front cover VG++, the back cover VG+, the front label VG+, the back label VG++, the vinyl visual VG and the vinyl acoustic VG -all strictly graded and no hype.

Condition: label on both sides perfect. No spindle marks visible even with a magnifying glass. I call this NM (we don't use the grading MINT except if a record is still sealed). Vinyl looks better than VG, more like VG+, but has lots of in-and-out-of-the- paper-sleeve swishes and a numbe of hairlines.

Vinyl acoustic: Plays nicely, with no damage, but noise comes through on the majority of tracks, especially on low-keyed songs like "Yesterday". So I would grade this a VG minus.

Record comes with correct inner sleeve showing 30 record covers incl. "For Sale" SMO 83790 in lower left front corner. Inner is in very good condition with only a 2 cm tear on top (front and rear).

We use special, sturdy, oversized (corner protection!) cardboard packaging, although this costs us three times more than the cheap mailers which are so widely used. We do this because we cater to serious music lovers and collectors, not to the cheapo crowd who will buy anything as long as it comes cheap. We sell quality, spend a lot of time on quality control and are happy to have a niche of quality customers. - Our records are placed seperately from the sleeves within the package to avoid damage. Items are dispatched promptly - usually within a day of payment.
